Debate Content Never Changes
Emily Angell Co-Republican EditorWhy are clips of Hillary's mood-swings and her impersonations of Obama relevant to any debate? Why are the moderators depending on these instances to spark conversation? Yes, campaign tactics are obviously under the media spotlight, but does each candidate need to take limited debate time to explain what they meant? The American public and the world population understand what was implied in each situation.
Furthermore, enough with the anecdotes. We all know these candidates spend a majority of their time schmoozing with the public. The four women at the table. The man who couldn't speak. The single mother raising four children. All heart-wrenching. But I want to hear what these two candidates are going to do to change each of those lives. If you are going to use them to gain votes, you better have a solution for their difficulties.
A final note to the candidates: touching anecdotes followed by fundraising amounts and donation figures lessen both the impact of the story on the audience and your efforts to be any different from the Washington you are so desperately trying to avoid being associated with.
